What is Retro Susie?
Retro Susie is a cozy corner of the internet where I share my passion for journaling, crafting, storytelling, and digital design. It’s a space filled with inspiration, color, and connection—designed for anyone who finds joy in creativity. I create joy journals (my spin on traditional junk journals), digital kits, printables, and journaling inserts meant to encourage creativity and self-expression.

Why I Created This Space
I’ve been journaling since I was a kid, scribbling into mini spiral notebooks with my friends. Today, my journals look a little different (and include more washi tape), but the heart is still the same. Through Retro Susie, I’m documenting my creative process for posterity—partly to share it with you, and partly so I remember how I do everything. 😄
I’ve learned so much through experimenting with different styles, trying new tools (including AI—more on that in this post), and revisiting the nostalgic aesthetics I’ve always loved. This blog is where I’ll be sharing that process: the wins, the struggles, the tutorials, and the inspiration.
